Glendalough

May 31st, 2008 by Cornflakegirl

Every time we decided to go to Glendalough, that day was raining cats and dogs. So after almost two years trying to go there, we got it!

Glendalough is a glacial valley with two lakes, Saint Kevin´s monastery founded by 6th century and a viking tower. It´s located in Wicklow County. We spent all day long walking to the lakes. It´s beautiful and even more, we were lucky with a gorgeous day.

Tori Amos

I can´t live without music, like I can´t live without poetry, without books, without breathing. My life would be helplessly empty. Anyhow, there are some days, where the despair, the already known abyss fallings trying to controlate my life. Then, like falling all the instructions of a non written yet salvation manual, ask help to Tori Amos. She and her practical mysticism conform me, rock me with her piano songs, when I´m about to fall into my own old scars, help me to face my own fears.
Both of us starts a rebirth trip. And myself-flower will open, create, love, smile. Every day is a new Spring.

May Day II

May 11th, 2008 by Cornflakegirl

english spanish

Last weekend, we made a short trip to Northern Ireland stopping in Belfast, Giant causeway and Portrush on Saturday.

During Sunday, we went to see Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge, Glenariff park and Mussenden temple.

On the last day, we visited Old Bushmills distillery and from there, we went back home. The weather was beautiful and we really had fun. But we must confess that we arrived home exhausted and it´s worth it!

Metro

May 2nd, 2008 by Cornflakegirl

.

I want Dublin to have a Underground Metro. This city has been getting bigger during the last years and the people who live here, we complain about the transport. I want a fast transport but I recently read a article about the damages is going to cause to the city and now I´m not so sure about it. St. Stephen Green is going to be devastated and I´m really sorry because I love this park, maybe because it was the first one that I saw in Dublin, maybe because it´s warm and cosy. This Metro requires the removal of the landmark Fusiliers’ Arch at its northwestern corner, dozens of mature trees and a large part of the lake.

Why couldn´t it be in a different way? Improving transport conditions without damaging all the gardens, greens and parks.

I recommend you to read this article.
