Al final Belfast es lo más rápido y sencillo asi que nada, allá que nos vamos.

Lo de las Vegas lo dejamos para el viaje de novios :D

Zhu: It´s amazing how difficult is getting married in Ireland so that´s why we´ll marry in Belfast, UK. Crazy isn´t it?

That is just plain weird. I never knew getting married could be that difficult, it is almost too easy in North America.

I thought it would be hard to get married in Canada because I was just a visitor at the time, marrying a Canadian citizen, but it was very easy.

I hope you find a solution!

If it's an IRish embassy, then it could be related to the great sell out of inner-city Irish embassies across the world.
My understanding is that Irish embassies that are located in city centres (usually capital cities) are being re-located outside to the suburbs where land and building is less expensive.
This means that the Irish Department of Finance (i.e. dept. = "ministry") will reap a net cash benefit : where a large sum of money can be obtained for the sale of the building, and a new building outside of the city can be purchased - so that the civil servants in the Department of Foreign Affairs can continue to do their important work (elsewhere).
I know of two such relocations relating to Republic of Ireland embassies, and all appointments for a period of a number of weeks are being systematically cancelled so that the re-location can commence forthwith.
After relocation to new buildings outside of the city centres, the Irish embassies will re-open for work sometime in the Spring.
For the citizens it will be rather like flying RyanAir each time they need consular services : as they will have to travel to the outskirts of the city to meet with representatives.
