The Plucker es un cuento sobre la lealtad de los juguetes y se adentra donde
Toy Story no se atreve ni a imaginar. Brom nos cuenta la historia de Jack, un
jack in the box (una caja con un resorte que al terminar la música salta un payaso o un bufón de ella), un juguete olvidado por su dueño Thomas pero que no duda ni un instante en salir a rescartarlo cuando su alma es atrapada por una muñeca traída de Nigeria, dentro de la cual hay un espíritu maligno,
The Plucker. Se le conoce por ese nombre porque arranca los ojos de sus víctimas.
The Plucker is a fairy tale about toys´ loyalty and it´s a step forward regarding to
Toy Story; The Plucker goes where Toy Story doesn´t dare. Brom tells the story of Jack, a
Jack-in-the-box toy, just a forgotten toy, who doesn´t hesitate in going to rescue his owner Thomas when Thomas’ soul is kept by Nigerian doll. This doll has trapped an evil spirit inside,
The Plucker (because he plucks the eyes of his victims).
Es la primera novela gráfica de
Brom y me ha gustado mucho. Es una vuelta de tuerca a Toy Story, mucho más oscura e inquietante. Las ilustraciones son impresionantes, delicadas y malévolas. Os la recomiendo encarecidamente; es una maravilla. Estoy deseando leer

This is the first illustrated novel by
Brom and I enjoyed it a lot. It´s visually stunning and the story is engaging: a really page-turner. It´s darker, wicker and more disturbing than Tory Story. I highly recommend it. I´m looking forward to reading his other works:

obra de teatro.
Although I was told that it could be a movie soon, I didn´t hear anything else about it; however, I know that it was adapted for a
stage play.
