Todos tenemos un actor, cantante o artista favorito. Una persona que nos inspira y a la que admiramos incondicionalmente. Supongo que cambia de una persona a otra pero para mí, la honestidad es una de las cualidades que más admiro. Me refiero a cuando un artista se muestra cómo es, con sus debilidades y virtudes. Cuando no tiene miedo de confesar los errores que ha cometido o lo que le carcome por dentro.
A través de su arte plasman lo que sienten, sus terrores más profundos o sus alegrías más intensas haciendo partícipe a la audiencia a la que se dirige. Es como si los héroes de antaño se mostraran vulnerables para ser respetados o más bien, comprendidos.
En mi caso, uno de las personas que más me han inspirado ha sido
Tori Amos y os dejo una
entrevista en la que habla de sus abortos y de cómo hay una luz al final del túnel. También quería dejar una nota respecto a
Blue October, un grupo que he descubierto recientemente y que a través de
entrevistas así, me hacen respectar y admirarles. Espero que os gusten.
¿Y a vosotros qué es lo que os inspira u os hace admirar a un artista?
Everybody has a favourite actor, singer or artist. A person who inspire us or makes us feel admiration. I guess this is different from one person to another but for me, I do value the honesty. I mean when an artist share with us how s/he is showing us his/her weakness and strengths. When s/he dares to confess what mistakes s/he has committed or what kills them inside.
They use their art to show what they’re feeling, their own fears and happiness making us to be part of it. It’s like the old times heroes need to be seen vulnerable to be understood and respected.
In my case, one of this idols is
Tori Amos and I leave this
interview with you where she talks about her miscarriadges and how there is a light at the end of the tunnel. However, I would like to mention a band named
Blue October that I’ve found out recently and with interviews like this
one makes me respect and admire them. I hope you like them.

La última parada del viaje fue Nueva Yok. Es una ciudad impresionante que te hace sentir como si ya la conocieras aunque no nos dio tiempo a salir de Manhattan. Espero volver y que entonces haga mejor tiempo.
Our trip last stop was New York. It’s a stunning city that makes you feel like you already know it; we didn’t have time to go out from Manhattan though. I hope to be back and with a better weather!
