Hace unos días he descubierto el blog de
The American Resident, una chica estadounidense viviendo en UK, y cuanto más leía más me preguntaba si me veía como una expatriada. Para ser sincera, no soy propensa a etiquetarme y me dejo llevar por lo que siento. Llevo casi seis años viviendo en Irlanda y ahora cuando visito mi ciudad de origen, Madrid, me doy cuenta de que la ciudad y yo evolucionamos de maneras diferentes. Me siento en casa por mis amigos y mi familia pero no es mi casa. Sin embargo, Dublín es mi casa siempre y cuando esté con mi marido.
Hay veces en las que me pregunto si echaré raíces en algún sitio. Otras en cambio, no creo que deba preocuparme. Hay personas que nunca llegan a hacerlo.
Some days ago, I’ve found out the blog of
The American Resident, a woman from the States living in UK, and the longer I read it, the more I wondered if I saw myself as an expat. To be honest, labeling is not my cup of tea, I let my feeling take anywhere. I’ve been living in Ireland for almost six years and now when I drop by Madrid, I realise that the city and I are changing in different directions. I feel like home because of my family and friends. However, Dublin is my home as long as my husband is living there.
Sometimes I wonder if I would ever settle down somewhere. On the other hand, I don’t think I should worry about it. There are people who never will.

Me he apuntado al
NaNoWriMo que para los que no sepais qué es, se trata de un maratón de escribir una novela de 50 mil palabras en 30 días. Durante Octubre estoy preparando el argumento y los personajes. ¿Alguna sugerencia? He encontrado
