Drink me: Absinthe Mansinthe
Absinthe is a drink, also known as the green fairy, that contains green anise and fennel that gives it the deeper sour taste. It is normally diluted with water and sugar prior to being consumed. Although this drink is Swiss, it was the French Bohemian artists who made it so popular. Artists such as Hemingway, Oscar Wilde, Charles Baudelaire, Arthur Rimbaud, Paul Verlaine, Paul Gauguin, Pablo Picasso, Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec and Vincent van Gogh took the green fairy as one of their muses.
Manson, a green fairy lover, together with Lion, needed two years in develop this absinthe. Even Manson made the watercolours that we can see on the bottle’s label. The watercolour’s title is “When I grow old”.
