Feel like screaming!

We already have date for our wedding: 13th February in Belfast City Hall. I can´t understand why we should go to another country to getting married but this is the way it´s. Unbeliable! By the way, should I start thinking about any dress? I should?

This is Ireland

From now on, Ireland doesn´tt recognize any marriage done in consulates and I can´t find any reason for it (in any official website). So, our Embassy, we can´t never stop highly speaking of it, has cancelled our wedding. So, now we should consider other options to get married (in Spain and wait for 6 months, in Ireland and wait for 4 months, run away to Belfast, …).

I can´t get over my surprise. If someone knows the reason about this “reasonable” law, please let me know. We will keep you informed.

Dublin, December 2005

From today on, I’ve been living in Ireland for four year and this last one flew away like bat out of hell. Maybe it’s the time of my life that makes everything goes by quickly. However, it has been a very profitable year in terms of working and preparation. If I came here searching for a good quility of living, I’m certain that when I won’t have it here, I will searching somewhere else for sure.

I don’t know how long I will be here or if my leaving will be out of blue. Nevertheless, it’s right time to bet strongly for Canada and I hope it will come out fine (not matter if we will move to there or not). I know in the bottom of my heart that if I don’t try it now, I won’t do it because of my age. Time goes by quickly. Not t mention that without my stay in Irelan, I couldn’t even think to try anything like Canada. This country has given me many chances to be capable to jump somewhere else (well, we know that we do our own luck) but I must be grateful for all the chances specially to live together with my partner and start a new life together.

I have a lot of thing to be grateful of but sometimes I forget them.

White Dublin

Last year, it snowed on the first days of February and it really took me by surprise but this year, oh my, it´s impressive. We have had about three week with artic temperatures (reaching about -9ºC and sometimes even less) and the snow covers the city that makes hard every single trip. If we could have snow without the ice, I think I would love the snow.

Summary & Resolutions

December 30th, 2009 by Cornflakegirl

english spanish

This year is about to end but we still have plenty of time for a summary. 2009 has brought many things, some of them, very good and some others, not so good. If it started with the chance to move to Sweden, and now, in its end, I’m certain that we won’t move to any Scandinavian country or at least, not by now. But you never know, maybe this 2010 could bring new places to be discovered.

If I should explain this year in short, I would say that I spent it studying, working and taking exams. I took the following exams: CAE, Trinity 12th grade and TCF in French. I got two out three so it ain’t bad. For that, one of them will be one of my new year resolutions. In a nutshell, it was a good year, with some improvements, some surprises and of course, many changes going on.

My 2010 resolutions are the following: start preparing for taking these two exams CPE and Trinity 12th grade. So, I’ll work hard to improve my English because it’s time to do it after four years in Dublin, isn’t it? I’d like to enrol a creative writing course as well in English. Shortly after, there are some resolutions like to have my novel done, get my haikus published and keep on writing my short stories and poems. I’m not going to include any resolution about take care of myself and love me because from now on, they should be habits. It’s said and done!

Anyway, there are few subjects that I don’t want to talk in this post because they are not resolutions anymore, they are projects that will be done soon (soon is a time unit defined by goverment and burocracy workers).

I leave you with Tori Amos and her precious things because this year, finally I saw her live.
